About Annie McManis

Annie McManis is a senior communications professional with more than 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, communications and public relations. Her career has included roles in corporate, agency, non-profit and independent consulting serving clients across a variety of industries.

As founder and President of Copperfox Marketing, a 14-person, award-winning marketing communications agency in Cincinnati, Ohio, Annie managed the agency’s services for its local, regional and national clients in a number of industries. In October 2014, Copperfox was acquired by woman-owned branding agency, Intrinzic. Annie served as Chief Marketing Officer for Intrinzic, building the agency’s business.

Most recently, Annie has served as a contract Chief Marketing Officer for various organizations, including Ms.Medicine, a national membership medicine model for women's primary care.

Annie’s breadth of experience includes providing strategic communications counsel and marketing execution for clients in retail, healthcare, consumer packaged goods, non-profit and business-to-business industries. She believes marketing is the tool that supports business goals, and she helps brands create and execute data-driven strategies to drive growth. Annie has extensive experience in women's-focused brands, women's health and healthcare marketing and is passionate helping organizations educate and improve patients’ lives. Current and past clients include Lisa Larkin, MD, and Associates (a direct primary care internal medicine practice in Cincinnati, OH), Ms.Medicine, Everything But the House, UC Health (University of Cincinnati,) and Procter & Gamble.

Copperfox Marketing was named to the Inc. 5000 in 2013 -- Inc. Magazine’s list of the fastest growing companies in America– coming in at number 1460 nationally, #48 in Ohio and #10 in Cincinnati. Copperfox was also recognized as one of nine women-owned “Businesses WE Watch” by the Women Enterprise Division of the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce in 2013. In 2015, Annie was recognized as Professional of the Year by the Cincinnati Public Relations Society of America, and Copperfox was awarded the Pinnacle Award by the Cincinnati Chapter of the American Marketing Association.

Annie has served as a freelance writer for a number of publications and online resources, including Food.com, Cincinnati City Beat, Cincinnati Taste, Log Home Living, AOL CityGuide and New Mexico Woman. She also has served as an instructor of communications at Miami University (Oxford, Ohio), teaching public speaking and strategic communications and public relations.
